Let’s face it, your car was designed by Germans, engineered by Germans, and built by Germans for roads in Germany.
So, what’s the big deal if the dash displays in German? Isn’t it only natural?
Isn’t your car simply longing for it’s roots flying down the autobahn or rounding a corner at Nürburgring? (In reality you probably just need to get to work or pick your kids up from school).
Okay so after letting the battery run dead and the car sitting for a month (or two), you are wondering at least two things:
1) Why is my car displaying German?
2) How do I fix it?
3) What did I do to deserve this?
Here’s your answer (to at least the first two questions):
– Put the key in the ignition and turn it to position 1.
– Hold the CC button down for 10 seconds. The next language in the series will appear.
– Repeat this procedure until you have the desired language.
– The available languages are: English UK, English US, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
